LIONS MINI PARK DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS

Sealed Bids for the construction of the “Lions Mini Park Drainage Improvements”

until 11:00 a.m. on October 5, 2026

Bids received will be publicly opened and read at that time. Sealed Bids must have outer envelope marked as “Village of Rhinebeck, Lions Mini Park Drainage Improvements.”

The work consists of adding drainage structures and stormwater piping from North Park Road, through Lions Minipark, and discharging into the Landsman Kill to improve site drainage. The outlet will consist of a headwall and wingwalls, with rip rap for erosion protection. The Landsman Kill is a classified as a C(T) stream, and the contractor will be required to manage water and minimize environmental impacts. Additional work includes demolition of the existing roadway pavement on North Park Road, demolition of an asphalt sidewalk, full-depth asphalt pavement in areas disturbed by utility trenching, and erosion and sediment control measures. Bids shall be on a lump sump with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

Prospective bidders must complete a one-time registration process on the web site in order to receive log-in credentials. Bidders must log in to the web site to download bidding documents for the project. Bidders will be added to the “planholders” or prospective bidders list upon downloading the bidding documents for the project.

A bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, and shall include a 5% bid bond. The successful bidder will also be required to provide performance and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the value of the contract. The time period for holding Bids is 45 days after opening of Bids.

This project is subject to New York State and Federal Prevailing Wage Rates, and a determination of the NYS Department of Labor (PRC# 2025014236) & Davis-Bacon Wages have been attached. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional
information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract.

This project is funded by grants from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Municipal Grant Program. Section 00800 contains the funding program construction contract requirements, all of which shall be applicable to this Contract.

An optional pre-Bid conference will be held at Lions Mini Park on
September 25, 2026 at 8:00 a.m.
