Our Story

The Rhinebeck Fire Department was founded on July 7, 1834, to provide fire protection to the Village. The Village has a coverage contract with part of the Town of Rhinebeck and is available for mutual aid. It’s one of the most highly regarded volunteer fire departments in the area.

The Village Board of Trustees and Mayor oversee the department’s budget.
