Please Take Notice

There has been a report of a fraud email claiming to be from the Village of Rhinebeck. This was a scammers attempt to collect payment using public information submitted for a permit request. Though it contains some correct identification information and may look authentic, please be aware,
the Village would never request payment in the form of wire transfers or gift cards.

If you receive a suspicious email, please verify the sender information. Any legitimate correspondence from an official Village representative should be from an email address that includes either “@villageofrhinebeck.gov” , “@nycourts.gov” or “@rhinebeckpd.com”

If you are ever in doubt of an email, letter or bill from the Village of Rhinebeck, you are always welcome to call the Village Hall at 845-876-7015 or the Village Police Department at 845-876-8181 to determine if it is scam.
